The Physician Assistant is responsible for assisting the Neurology/Neuro-Oncology services and other healthcare providers as an educator/consultant. The role of the PA requires direct patient care and is responsible for the identification of the health status of the patients through consultative screening in the hospital setting as delineated by the Florida Board of Medicine - Council of Physician Assistants. Key functions include , but are not limited to, the following: history and physicals, patient follow-up, assistance with bedside clinical procedures, and support in patient recovery. Other duties include providing support to the Neurology/Neuro-Oncology services for outpatient care, assisting with the research activities of the Neurology/Neuro-Oncology services, and functioning as a resource to unit managers in training new employees with regard to Neurology/Neuro-Oncology services patients.

Must have a vaild Florida Physician Assistant license. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and leadership skills. Must be bilingual english and spanish.
